HISTORY AND DESCRIPTION
Porta Vecchia, an ancient gateway to the town, rises along Via Pennazzi, in the Rione Rocca, between two rows of fortified houses. According to sources, the old door dates back to the 13th century. The Renaissance-style arch is made up of a series of ashlar-worked peperino blocks, which stand out against the pink wall that supports the entrance. The entrance from the inside is simple and bare.
